Hey all, we’re really excited to be playing a private event this Sunday, March 12, 2017 down in Lincoln City on the beautiful Oregon coast! Our trio, Jazz Interlude will be playing a number of originals written by our pianist, Kathy James. We’ll also be featuring our favorite vocalist, True North Jazz Band’s own Dan Murphy. It’s always so much fun making music with this great group of people.

You might be wondering what are some songs that we’ll be playing? Well, some of the Kathy James originals are Soprano Song (which is featured on our music page here:  http://jazzinterludepdx.com/music/), Monkeyflower, & Manhattan, which was written while on vacation in..well, you know. We’ll also be performing many jazz standards including, Stolen Moments, Old Devil Moon, the Louis Armstrong classic, A Kiss to Build a Dream On, Take the “A” Train and many, many more!

Our jazz band consists of Kathy James on the piano, Eric Austin on the clarinet, soprano sax, and the tenor sax, Steve Morgan on the upright bass and special guest, Dan “Dante En Fuego” Murphy with the smoothest vocals in town.

Here’s a picture of us looking as hip as we know how.
